  1. Synopsis:
  2.    set mode_stripper [on|off|toggle]
  3.  
  4. Description:
  5.    When turned on, the client can make use of the MODE_STRIPPED hook.
  6.    This essentially breaks down complex mode changes into single mode
  7.    changes, making each individual mode change easier to process and
  8.    act upon.  This only affects the display of the modes, and it does
  9.    not interfere with the MODE hook.
